I sent him an email to see how he was doing and when I got no response I knew the worst had happened. If I had known I would would have been at the visitation or memorial. Skip was a good friend and at one time a good customer. He and I knew a lot of the same people from my Murray State days and we liked the same things most notably cars, our glory days and America. I will miss him.

I will always remember Skip as a fun loving, sweet , gentleman of whom I shared the love of Corvettes with. Years ago , Skip owned a beautiful , silver vette and a time or two he gave me a ride in it. It was so much fun. This was around 1978. I also remember purchasing a green and ivory antique cookstove from Skip which I still have in my home. My prayers are with all the family, Skip was a beautiful person!!

My condolences to Skip's wife and family! We went to school at Almo and then Calloway. Skip, was such a hoot to be around. From first grade, on through life, always pulling a trick or joking and cutting up with everyone! He was truly one of a kind. Skipper, may you rest in peace until we meet again!❤

I grew up living next door to Skipper, Ned, Murelle, and Francis Nance. A wonderful family that cared about everyone. Skip loved to aggarvate my Mother and loved his aggravations he always made her smile. Not long before she passed Skip brought her a stuffed dog She was moved to tears at his love and compassion! When I was little I helped Skip work on his Stingray Corvette, I thought I was something! He carefully explained all he did with a chuckle! He was full of life all his life and a great guy. His joy, sass, and incredible laugh will be missed by all.
