Ms. Nancy Thompson age 78, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, September 07, 2019, at Spring Creek Nursing Home.
Ms. Thompson was born on April 10, 1941, in Dover, Tennessee to the late Dewey Sykes and Beatrice Tubbs Sykes. She was a cashier at Kroger and attended the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister June Whitford; and two brothers, Vernon Sykes and Sydney Sykes.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Lovins and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky and Tina Thompson and significant other Gary Stinson of Dickson, Tennessee; two sisters, Etta Jane Earhart of Germantown, Tennessee and Sue Cook of Union Grove, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Dixie Sykes of Paris, Tennessee; as well as three grandchildren, Will Lovins of Murray, Kentucky, Chloe Lovins of Murray, Kentucky, and Kailey Stinson of Dickson, Tennessee.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
