Tribute & Message From The Family

Mr. Thomas "Tom" Colson, age 71, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Colson was born on October 14, 1949, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Celtus "Buddy" Colson and Wanda Adams Colson. He retired from the human resources department at Kenlake Foods and was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Colson received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Murray State University.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Colson.

Survivors include his wife, Doreen Colson of Murray, Kentucky; they married on August 24, 1975, in Colorado; two daughters, Angie Wyatt and husband Jasper of Murray, Kentucky and Jenny Lewis and husband Brian of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Cindy Hayes and husband Harvey of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Kevin Colson of Wichita, Kansas; as well as seven grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

So sorry to read of Tom's passing. I remember all of the kids, especially Ronnie and Tommy, so well as we attended 7th & Poplar church together so many years ago. May God give his family the peace that he promises to those who know Jesus Christ as their savior. Nancy (Hays) Redden Versailles KY
