Condolence & Memory Journal

Earnest condolences from the Hardy's. Joe was a good friend and a mentor. His humor and zest for life was contagious, so much in fact, it led Joe, my father Butch and myself into a small wooden boat off the coast of Mexico into the Gulf of California...a memory which will not be forgotten. God bless.

Joe and Carleen were gracious to my mom when my parents divorced in 1970. They became friends in Evansville when our dads attended University of Evansville and our mothers were raising the children. Your parents would invite us down to spend time at the lake and showing us fun and Christ-like love. I have a big memory of going to eat by boat and running into a storm on the way home when your dad protected me by putting me under the dash. Quite scary to a young child at the time. These childhood memories that have not been forgotten along with there beautiful smiles and fun natures. Thank you for providing lifetime memories not only with them but with my mother. May you all find comfort and peace in their faith and love they shared. I look forward to seeing their welcoming spirits and smiles in eternity.

Joe and Carleen were two of our closest friends when we lived in Murray from 1977 - 1987 and we have seen them several times during the later years. We will cherish our memories of them, their beautiful place on Kentucky Lake, and their sparkling personalities. And we express our sincere condolences to the loved ones they leave behind.
