Condolence & Memory Journal

So sorry for this loss!

Joy & Family, Patsy and I are so very sorry that Pete has passed. I have many fond memories of him from my childhood. Although Pete was four years older than me, he was often around playing basketball and other sports with the kids who lived on N. 16th and Miller and Farmer Avenues. He was always great fun to be with. And, it was great to reconnect with him when we returned to Murray in 2004. We shared a love of MSU and athletics. He made a huge contribution to MSU and the Murray community and will be greatly missed.

Joy, Mark and Jennifer, Julie and the entire family.

Camela and I want to share how sad and we were about Pete's passing - but we wanted also to let you know how much we appreciate Pete and all of you. From getting to know Pete when I was at Murray State and how welcomed you all made us when I first started at Ledger & Times. Through the years, I have benefited greatly from his friendship and advise. Raising our daugher with Maddie gave us a new chapter of memories. Our heart breaks with Pete's loss - but we smile when we think of him. God bless all of you. Our lives and the lives of so many in Murray and Calloway County will miss him. David, Camela, John and Lily Ramey.

Joy and Family - sad to hear this! Have fond memories of him at the ballpark back in the day! Can still hear him saying ducks on the pond! I ran into him at Keeneland a few years ago and also at some of the All A tournament games when Maddy was playing. He was a funny and wonderful man! Sending prayers!

Joy & Family: I'm saddened to hear about the loss of Pete. Thank you for allowing me to spend my Murray State years (1987-89) in the apartment above your garage. My best memory of Pete is when I was studying upstairs with the window open and hearing Pete laughing and talking out on the lawn sitting in lawn chairs with a man who I was surprised to see was Governor Wallace Wilkinson !! Joy, Mark, Julie...please know I am thinking of you at this time.

Pete always had that smile on his face. Sympathy to the whole family. Got to know Pete when Mark and Scott played basketball at CCHS. He was a generous individual, who never turned his back on any one. If you told Pete that we were going to a basketball game, he would be the first one in the car. A loving individual.

Joy and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Pete. While I did not know him well, I always found him to be a man of conviction who loved his family, his community and his God. I greatly enjoyed the times I talked with him. I pray for your peace and comfort during this very sad time.

A huge void now exist in the Murray community plus in the lives of many who loved Pete. Bye Brother; we in ATO love you and thank you for being one of those upperclassmen who was instrumental in bringing a national fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, to the Murray State campus.
