I am so sorry but at the same time I have a reassurance that out of the body is to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. Barry and I spoke the evening before his passing. We shared childhood memories ... we spoke about how he would sit next to his wife and listen to her read God's Word. He spoke about trips here and there but mostly about their four trips to Israel. I am so thankful that our lives intersected briefly again through his call. I am so thankful that Barry knew and was known by Jesus ... this is the most important thing for all of us.

I’m so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing, We were coworkers for many years. I appreciated him as a friend and respected him as a Supervisor. He always had something colorful to say and the world is a little dimmer without him %

Teresa and Chesley I am so sorry for your loss. My friend Barry was truly loved by many and will be missed so deeply. I always looked forward to seeing him occasionally and getting one of his big ole hugs. I'd always give and get an "I love ya". I'll miss him.

Barry and his family lived across the street from my family in the 50's. As his sister Sandy was my best friend, Barry was around a lot. He was like a little brother. He saved my life one day at Panorama Shores, pulling me out of the water, when I was floundering. I didn't thank him enough for that.
Unfortunately, our paths didn't cross much when we were older. I did see him at the MHS '68 class reunion in 2018 and at a MSU game in 2019. From a distance I yelled at him, "Barry Jan Thomas" and he yelled back "Beverly Sue Paschall" (correct middle name is Anne.) I realize how much he smiled and joked, bringing joy to others. May God comfort Teresa, Chesley, Alex, Sandy, Toopie and Aubrey.
