Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Charles by adding your memories and photos.

Mr. Charles Edward "Goodyear" Brown, formerly resided in Buchanan, Tennessee, died on February 23, 2022, at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Brown was born in the Whites Branch community in Manchester, Kentucky, on August 25, 1937, to the late Clarence Calvin Brown and Nora (Hammons) Brown.

It is a challenge to capture the highlights of your loved ones life of memories and accomplishments in a short format. It is with deep sadness that we have lost our father. Along with many other traits, he was a fun loving and dedicated Dad that had a lot of good friends. He was a Master mechanic that owned and managed an Amoco Service Station in Winter Park, Florida and later retired from the Henry County School System in Buchanan, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Brown and Lillian Brown Loughran; and by four brothers, Harold R. Brown, John G. Brown, Clarence Levoy Brown, and Billy Brown.

Mr. Brown is survived by the mother of his children, Bonnie Sibert Koontz of Orlando, Florida; one daughter, Betsy McCauley and husband Ricardo of New Concord, Kentucky; three sons, Johnny Eugene "Gene" Brown and wife Gwen of Groveland, Florida, Chadwick Wayne Brown of Orlando, Florida, and Thomas Jefferson Brown of New Concord, Kentucky; five grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Any plans for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Nothing but fond memories of our Uncle Charlie. He could tell a great story and always make you laugh. It was a big loss when he moved away and we didn't see him as often. Now another heartbreaking loss that we will not see him again. Rest in peace Charlie. So very sorry for your loss and wishing for peace for his family at this sad time.
